Charlie Shane grew up in Washington in the Issaquah/Sammamish area and graduated from Issaquah High School in 1991. After high school, he served a two-year volunteer mission for his church in Puerto Rico. He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and got his bachelor's degree in International Relations. While attending BYU, he was the co-founder of the BYU Fencing Club.
He went to law school at Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington. While attending Gonzaga, he took part in the Legal Aid Tax Clinic and the litigation support clinic for needy individuals. He also was the Managing Editor of the Gonzaga Law Review. He graduated with honors in May 2002. After graduating law school, he attended a year-long program with the University of Florida and got a Master of Law "LLM".
Since graduating from law school, Charlie has conducted many successful trials. He enjoys litigation and loves to fight for his clients. Most of his practice is dedicated to family law disputes with particular emphasis on child custody. He also has experience with other types of litigation.
His primary office is on beautiful Bainbridge Island, Washington, which is a short ferry ride from Seattle. He practices law primarily in Kitsap County, but takes cases in King, Snohomish, and Jefferson counties, and occasionally takes cases in other counties. He periodically gives free legal advice and time to needy individuals on the Kitsap Peninsula. He has resides in Kingston, Washington with his wife and their three boys. He enjoys spending time with his family and watching the Seattle Mariners.
